Disclosure of Earnings
The average pay for GPs working in The Barn Surgery in the last financial year was £94,750 before tax and National Insurance. This is for: 3 part time GPs and 1 long term locum GP who worked in the practice for six months or more.
“NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice are publicised by 31 March 2022 at the latest. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method of calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.
These figures have been calculated using BMA and LMC guidance. If you feel you need to go further with your figures you can of course detail hours spent in surgery but this is not required to be disclosed.
