Patient Comms for our vulnerable cohort:

Covid-19 can affect everyone. There are certain groups who are at higher risk of severe illness if they were to get Covid-19. If you are in one of these groups you are considered more vulnerable to Covid-19. It is vital that we all take social distancing extremely seriously in order to protect those most at risk.

If you fall into any of the 3 categories below you must follow strict social distancing for at least 12 weeks:

  1. 70 years old or older (even if you do not have any medical conditions)
  2. If you are under 70 years with any underlying medical condition (these are people who are entitled to an annual flu jab)
  3. If you are pregnant

Advice on how to do this is available on:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-guidance-on-social-distancing-and-for-vulnerable-people/guidance-on-social-distancing-for-everyone-in-the-uk-and-protecting-older-people-and-vulnerable-adults

There are some people who will have received a letter from NHS England as they are considered extremely vulnerable. If you, or a relative, has received this letter it is vital that you follow the instructions clearly.

Everyone is at risk from Covid-19.
